The London Short Film Festival (LSFF) takes over cinemas and venues around the capital every winter, usually in January. It is known for an independent, adventurous programme that mixes new British shorts with international work, artists’ film, music and events.

Why it matters

LSFF’s awards can qualify films for the BAFTA short film awards and the British Independent Film Awards. Just as important for a London filmmaker, it is where much of the city’s short film community meets. The North London Book of the Dead, later in Greenhorn’s 2014 selection, screened at LSFF in 2013.
